Green Team

The EAHS Green Team is a club for students who want to work together to improve the environment at Elsie Allen High School as well as in the larger community and worldwide. We are working this year with the eCO2 school program to decrease our campus carbon footprint. (Check out elsieallen.eco2school.org and eco2school.org ) We have organized a number of campaigns and activities to encourage students and staff to commute to school by walking, rolling, busing and carpooling. We have also visited our local recycling plant and began conversations about how to improve our campus recycling. We meet Tuesdays at lunch in my (Mrs. Mackura’s) classroom, E32.Green Team

Kelly Mackura - I have been teaching Biology and Earth/Physical Science at Elsie Allen High School for 14 years. She graduated from UC Davis in 1998 with a degree in Biology and a minor in English. I earned my teaching credentials at Sonoma State University. I hope by working with the Green Team that I can support students to become active advocates and leaders to support a healthy and sustainable Earth.
